How can you get the most out of your workout? Your body needs to be feeling warm, loose and limber before you get into the hard minutes of your training. Dynamic stretching will help you get there.

Properly warming up and stretching your body could be the difference between a stellar workout and a mediocre one.

What Top Athletes Know About Achieving Peak Fitness

Dynamic stretching is the way athletes get their bodies into peak form before their training. If you haven’t incorporated this type of stretching into your workout before, now is the time. We always remind our members to complete a comprehensive warm-up routine that has been developed over decades of practice. Doing this routine each and every time – one based in getting the body prepared through dynamic stretching – will allow you to crush workout after workout, day after day.

Dynamic stretching is about loosening the body through movement. Each stretch is held for less than 3 seconds, and so you are getting looser and warming up your body at the same time (as you move from one stretch, directly into the next without rest).

Incorporating Multiple Disciplines For Fitness

Jon, one of Mission Lean’s co-founders, used to cross-train with the Harvard track team during his collegiate career as a tennis player. He learned a great deal from the lean body routines that these track athletes followed, and the dynamic stretching was a key component of their workout. It was from this experience that Jon knew to include these incredible moves into all of the Mission Lean training routines.

With dynamic stretching in your every day fitness sessions, you will be getting more flexible and agile with each passing week. Your body will be feeling great and you will be able to get the most out of your workouts. You will stay healthy for the long run and build your fitness base continuously and without injury.
