What is it?  It’s seemingly simple, but incredible powerful.  I’m talking about Lunge Jumps.

Lunge jumps allow you to build amazing leg strength while keeping your heart rate elevated so you’re getting a great cardio workout at the same time.   Also, lunge jumps can be done anywhere, anytime, and you don’t need any gym equipment. That’s why lunge jumps are a staple move of the Mission Lean workout program.

The next time you go to work out, do a HIIT strength circuit where you pick 4 moves.  One of them should be the lunge jump. The other 3, you can pick your favorite from the app. For example,  do some push-ups, or sit-ups, or pull-ups, or even hop on a weight machine. Complete the 4 exercises non-stop, and take a 1-2 minutes rest in between each series.

You will right away notice that the lunge-jump is adding another level to your workout.  You’ll be feeling the burn in your quads and hamstrings, and it will increase your breath count.  You’ll likely be experiencing further difficulty in your other moves due to the impact of the lunge jump in your routine. And that’s what you want – to increase the challenge level in your workouts.
