LEAN & GREEN AVOCADO KALE SMOOTHIE

Yields Two 16-oz servings

Ingredients:

2 Leaves of Kale

1 Frozen Banana

1/2 Avocado

1/2 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk

1 Cup of Ice

1 Cup of Water

Directions:

  1. Wash kale, avocado, and banana. Peel avocado and banana to remove the skin.
  2. Chop up all vegetables and fruit and place into blender (Vitamix is ideal.)
  3. Add water, almond milk and ice.
  4. Blend.

Kale is a great base for smoothies because it doesn’t overtake the flavor (when used in proportion to the rest of the ingredients.) It’s super healthy and when it’s mixed with the sweeter ingredients, all you taste is the delicious mix of flavors. 

Think of this as a sweet way to sneak more leafy greens into your diet.

Adding avocado and unsweetened almond milk to this smoothie makes it super creamy and satisfying. For more creaminess, add more avocado– it’s so good for you and happens to be one of our absolute favorite ingredients.
